Out of the many places which I have had the pleasure of living, the Twin Cities quickly became a favorite back in 2013!  So much to immerse yourself in and it was living there, where I learned the art of “wandering” just to see, experience and be, and the concept, “if you ever want to get found, you must first get lost.”

The Minneapolis – Saint Paul greater metropolitan area offers a plethora of activities, food and live music.  The people are a unique mix that are composed of some of the healthiest in the country.  As a northern state in the midwest, Minnesota often faces the blustery cool temps and piles of snow that come with winter.

Jack Rynerson is one of the people that blows your mind in the middle of winter, when you pull up to a stop light in your car during the subzero temps and he pulls up next to on his bicycle.

This particular bike he just finished building days ago.  He told me of his passion for biking which keeps him going year round. As well as his desire to take a trip on his bike, when warmer weather is here, that follows the Mississippi River to the ocean.

The passion and commitment of the people of this city to active lifestyles continues to amaze and inspire me. I had to share a few images of Jack with his wintery white beard!
