“…without constant daily effort, the “right” love can die.”
I feel like I’ve learned a lot about love in the last few months, that have Connected the dots of my years of experiences with it.
I used to think that love is this force that conquers everything. And once you have the “real” thing that’s it and it will never go away.
But what I’ve learned is something quite different. I’ve learned that there are many different kinds of love. And that just because you feel one way about someone that doesn’t mean they love you the same way. I’ve learned that just because someone says they love you, that doesn’t mean it’s the kind of love you need and it’s okay to wait for what you do need.
I’ve learned that without constant daily effort, the right love can die. And that effort is required on both sides for it to last.
