I’ve recently had a human question my “self” knowledge.  

It seems to come at a perfect time as I try to assess my life progress on a quarterly basis and intensely assess myself on an annual basis, which always lands right around the time of the new year. I look at my goals and see what I’ve accomplished and what I haven’t. I set new ones for the new year and make sure to celebrate the ones completed from the year past. 

I think my immediate reaction to the comment that “you are a bit of a mystery to yourself “ was to get defensive, and I absolutely did feel my guard come up. But after I’ve had time to think about it, I decided to research “self knowledge”. The information I found talks about ongoing self-awareness. Which I’m pleased to say, is one of the many things that I am constantly working on. 

I’m proud to say that I have passion and drive, which leads me to complete goal after goal. Pushing my limits past my fears and leading me to intense satisfaction of accomplishments.

I find great joy in understanding how I operate and what brings value to my life. And as 2016 comes to a close I’m so pleased to be able to look back at the completion of my most amazing year yet. 

I’m glad that question came up. Because it served as a lovely reminder of what I’m accomplishing, and who I am.
